ProcessLogix R500.1 Service Pack 1 5

Client Installation

The following steps can be used to install the service pack on R500.1

Operator Workstations and R500.1 Engineering Workstations.

1. Close all running applications.

2. Insert the ProcessLogix R500.1 Service Pack 1 CD into the

CD-ROM drive.

3. Click Star t ⇒ Run .

4. Enter this path or Br o w se to:

>D:(or your CD-ROM drive letter)\SP1\Server-Client\setup.exe<

5. Click OK to launch the software setup application.

6. At the Welcome window, click Ne x t .

7. At the Destination Folder window, click Ne x t .

8. At the Ready to Install window, click In stall.

Status messages indicate progress, but no user interaction is

required. This takes 10-15 minutes to complete.

9. At the InstallShield Wizard Completed window, click Fin ish .

10. Click Yes to restart the system.

11. Logon as ps_user.

12. Click Star t ⇒ Run .

13. Enter this path or Br ow se to:

>D:(or your CD-ROM drive letter)\Update\setup.exe<

14. Click OK to launch the software setup application.

15. Click Ne x t to install the ProcessLogix Update.

16. Select the I accept the terms option and click Ne x t .

17. Click In stall.

18. At the ProcessLogix Update Complete window, click Fin ish .

19. If prompted to reboot, click No .

20. Restart the PC.
